A fascination with technology
Jens has been interested in everything technical since his childhood. So it comes as no surprise that he’s been advising companies particularly in the high-tech, software and services sectors. As
a pioneer in the good old new economy, the “digital immigrant” has been actively engaged since as early as 1997 in areas where IT, Internet, design and marketing converge.
Marketing communication since 1990
Jens Otto Lange has offered advice and consultation to marketing decision-makers at numerous corporations, including Minol Mineralöl, Iduna Nova, CoreMedia, Die Zeit, INFO AG, McKinsey and
T-Systems,
and at many medium-size companies and organizations. Moreover, Jens has been active as a lecturer and trainer for marketing-related subjects.
Internet since 1997
For more than five years, Jens was the managing director for marketing, strategy and organization at a Hamburg-based Internet agency. Before his active Internet period, he dealt intensively with the topic of brands. He studied Industrial Design and Social and Business Communication at the Universität der Künste in Berlin. At the start of his career, he worked as a consultant at design, advertising and PR agencies.
Network thinking
Jens is convinced that networking and real-time feedback on the Internet require an entirely new way of thinking. That, in turn, is exerting substantial pressure to change on traditional, pre-Internet strategies, structures and processes that continue to characterize the culture and organization of many companies.
